Cement silos are containers used to store bulk cement in concrete mixing plants. They come in various types: horizontal, vertical, and flaked. During concrete production, cement silos require a screw conveyor for optimal operation. So, how should you choose a cement silo for a concrete mixing plant?
1. If the required cement silo is too large for even a truck to load, or if you need to ship the cement overseas to reduce volume and transportation costs, you can choose a flaked cement silo that can be welded to the project site.
2. Fixed cement silos include vertical and horizontal types. If height restrictions apply, horizontal silos are acceptable. If height restrictions do not apply, vertical silos are recommended.
Select the appropriate cement silo model based on the size of the concrete mixing plant and the amount of cement to be stored. For example, when choosing a concrete mixing plant model, a 50-ton silo is generally sufficient for a 25-ton concrete plant, while a 100-ton silo is recommended for a 90-ton concrete plant or less. For concrete stations with 120 tons or more, choose a cement silo with a capacity of 200 tons or more.
1. Arch-breaking devices can eliminate material blockages and cement lumps.
2. Pulse dust removal systems offer better dust removal than electric dust removal systems.
3. Cement silo level systems provide a visual indicator of the cement's location.
